Another hitch install
Just wanted to encourage anyone on the fence about whether or not to tackle the hitch installation to go ahead and do it. I completed it by myself using the write up here as well as the one from the link below, supplemented by the included instructions.
I think the two things I would do differently are; 1. lift the towbar frame in the highest allowable position while tightening down the four bolts to minimize the body panel gap. 2. Disconnect the battery. My battery died and I don't think it was a coincidence that I had just completed this installation. I think it was due to me hitting the tailgate release over and over on accident. I think it drained the battery as a result.
