rear vents not blowing heat or air

i have an 03 4.6is, the heat vents in the front all work, but the back vents doesnt work or blow any hear or air, i turn the switch to the fan mode right on the side of the vent and in the front heater switch i put it on the face button setting and i try all other setting and still nothing blowing into the back

I had the same issue, come to find out the dial for turning the fan on/off loses the grip from the internal stalk.

Here is what i did. You have to open the arm rest box, take the rubber mat from inside out. unscrew all the 4-5 screws out. then take out the internal cabin by popping it out. you can then see the air duct and the grill.. unscrew the rear vents out and then you will have to align the dial back with the power switch. It works!. While you are in there, clean the vents up since they get pretty dirty!

hope this helps, my daughter has kicked it again so maybe this weekend when I fix it up again, I will take some pictures for a DIY around here.

i can't find the 4-5 screw holding down the arm-rest bin, try pulling up on it and it won't pop out, look under the rubber insert and there is no screw what can hold this bin down?

oh come oooooooonnnnnnn!!!! just push that thing with a pen!!! and you're good to go in few seconds! want to close it again? guess what? yup, you got it right: push it again with the pen (you have to peek where you're pushing your pen though... )
