Thanks! I do really love it and you are right that it looks great on Steel Gray. I was running errands today and couldn't stop admiring the rear end and the new lease on life. I swear the whole back end looks different now. It's much more updated and much improved.

Yea, yea. Tom you are the mod man! I saw your photo with LED strips in the tailgate lights and thought about trying that too but I'm not as good as you.

Thanks for finding those pics! You have sold me on the red/clear for my Topaz Blue truck!

Last question, can you confirm the turn signal bulb is a 7507? I bought a set for my stock tails and want to make sure its the same so i don't have an orange turn signal!

I replaced my stock lights with the same setup. I wasn't too concerned about the looks but i do agree the look good on darker colors. I have a burgendy one and it really compliments the color. But the real reason I did the swap was I couldn't stand the BMW socket setup. I would get intermittent "light out" problems and could never figure out why after replacing bulbs, the holders, etc. These new lights eliminate the whole problem. I think the lights are better made and easier to service.

I just fitted the red/clears to the X today. Man these things are BRIGHT! Blown away when I turned them on tonight to see how they looked. Very pleased. I'm now trying to get the lower tailgate apart to fit the inner lights. I also want to utilize the fog light fittings as additional park/stop lights so I have LED bulbs on order to fit in the light units. Hopefully then a simple wiring job will accomplish my goal.

Please keep us up to date on that, as I would like to do the same (or close, have two extra reverse lights).
