Service Bulletins / Technical Update?

I used to have an Aprilia motorcycle and 3-4 times every year I got a Service Bulletin from them with technical upgrades.

It was stuff like starter gears needed to be updated etc - parts and labour all paid for by Aprilia. Aprilia (and other bike manufacturers) always develop their models and when a fault or an malfunctioning part is located, they issue a fix.

But what about BMW in general when the car is "out of warranty" and have BMW ever issued a "Service Bulletin" (dare I say recall?) on the X5 E53 models?

I doubt it very much
I have seen bmw some bulletins to their dealers on the net stating:
Only repair or replace "IF" the customer asks or insists!
Thousands have had all type of parts fail/break on their beamers just out of warranty and had to pay the full amount (parts and labour) find a good indy or be prepared to get ripped off at BMW stealer garages!
Or take out an extended warranty (AA in the UK mechanical cover, engine and gearboxes about £400 pa)

I also found a couple of other sites. You need to register and for some you need to pay.

Here is a clipping for the year 2004 BMW X5 Recalls, Defects, Problems & Troubleshooting:

It would be so great if someone here had these bulletins and would post these (sticky) for the rest of us.
