key fob resistor broken... where to fix?
Hi all. I tried searching for results on what to do when the guts of the key fob need to be purchased, but got no where on this board.
My remote feature no longer works, and it is not the battery. Its a cracked resistor/black box on the mother board. The key fob works to unlock and start/drive the X5, BUT the remote feature no longer with us (hangs hear and says a prayer). I tried e-bay to find the guts of another X5 key, but to no avail. I figured I could swap, re-initialize the key and Bobs your uncle, BUT no luck. Does anyone have any suggestion on where to track down the guts of the key?
