That supercharger kit does look nice, maybe if I get frustrated I will go with that instead, but I have always had a major hard-on for practically anything with a turbocharger attached to it. I am FINALLY ordering tires for my 20's today (happy birthday to me), so that will set me back a little bit, but all good things in time. |

1. Drop the m54 and tranny and rebuild and slap an aftermarket supercharger on it
2. Drop the m54 motor and tranny, rebuild, fabricate (or find) a turbo kit and standalone EMS 3. Find a front clip of a wrecked 335xi or x5/3 with the n54 tt motor and swap 4. Forget it and put the money down on a 2008-ish x5 5. Swap the whole drivetrain for a GM or Dodge V8 drivetrain + standalone ECU. I vote for option 5. Seriously, it all depends on your fabrication skill, contacts, budget etc. If you can weld, you could fabricate new manifolds for turbo(s), have a piggyback ECU to control bigger injectors etc. If you don't have fabrication skills, but some money, a turn key kit (supercharger) would be easier. A X5M is still too expensive. |

Good luck, I hope it all goes well. The N54 in my 135 is stupid powerful.
But, now my question is why go for a I6 when you can toss a V8tt?
