I have a 2003 bmw x5 3.0 with 135,000 miles. i have a loud roaring noise thats from the left wheel. even though my tires are cupping on the inside tread, it is definitely not the tires. when i rotate the tires, the noise stays in the left front. i do the hub bearing trick, left to right and right to left. the noise seems like it doesnt change. even when letting the vehicle roll from a stand still you hear the noise. i was changing my brakes a few weeks ago and noticed that wheel had some resistance to it when trying to turn the tire by hand. the right front was more free. i thought maybe the caliper was seized. but i was able to push the piston back in. i also noticed that when braking, the sound pitch changes. this noise has been going on for some time and now it is highly annoying. turning the radio up is not cutting it anymore. please help. any advice is greatly appreciated.
