replaced battery now it wont crank just clicks 4.6is
i just replaced the battery in 03 x5 4.6is and now all it does is click like if the battery was dead, but its fully charged and i even tested it in my other x5 and it works fine. anybody know what could be causing this ? any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your starter solenoid is gone.

Starter sounds like its gone and check the alt as well.

Why did you replace the battery? What was it doing right before you changed the battery?
If it started before then I would suspect a connection. If it didn't then the starter or solenoid

With an 03 - I would think if it was still the original battery then you got your moneys worth way over, and sounds like the starter. It must have been weak or on the brink of failing.

Update: fixed it the positive cable that's pressed in for some reason slipped out while I was swapping the battery just pressed it back in and tada starts again.
