How to "smoke" a light?

Hi all,

I've smoked LED back lights installed. Here's a great post on how to replaced stock lights with photos, thanks to PersonaNonGrata and others.

Still, my lateral turn-signal lights (see below photo) are badly oxidized and lost the glossy look.

I was thinking to smoke these, which would probably hide the yellowish color. Do you know how to smoke them?

Any idea (not necessarily tried) is very welcomed.
