Unhappy How to "smoke" a light?

Hi all,

I've smoked LED back lights installed. Here's a great post on how to replaced stock lights with photos, thanks to PersonaNonGrata and others.

Still, my lateral turn-signal lights (see below photo) are badly oxidized and lost the glossy look.

I was thinking to smoke these, which would probably hide the yellowish color. Do you know how to smoke them?

Any idea (not necessarily tried) is very welcomed.

There are companies that make tint in a spray can for lights and windows. VHT is one of them.

Instead of tinting them (may attrack cops?), why don't you just polish them with a plastic polish product?

Depending on how light/dark you want them smoked, you can use Niteshades or Testor's Transparent black spray paint. Niteshades will give you a darker tint with the first coat, while Testor's goes on much lighter. Good Luck!

I'd go to the choice of spray. Do you recommend spraying just from outside, or from inside (requires total removal of light assembly cover)?

I think the easiest and possible the nicest solution are these smoked replacement side markers from eBay. I have been thinking about replacing my yellowing side markers with these.
