Radio - Half of buttons not working?

Good day to you!

First post. I tried the search, but pretty much every radio search led to pixel problems. Fortunately, I do not have that problem.

I have the Business CD and radio combination in my 2002 X5 3.0 manual. Here's my issue:

The first 3.5 rocker/preset buttons from left-to-right are not working. I can't set a preset or change an audio setting from those buttons.

I've tried pulling the fuses, resetting the battery, and holding down the "M" button to get to the setup (but i can't do anything there either because the preset button is not working!).

I can tune the radio to get stations, thank goodness!

Any suggestions?
