Rear View Camera issues

Sometimes the rear view camera works sometimes it doesn't. There is no rhyme or reason as to when it works. I have removed half the tailgate in trying to see what the issue is but the black box (module) that is in the rear tailgate I can't get to because there is not enough slack cable coming from the inside of the vehicle. Could someone explain to me where the camera plugs in inside the rear wall of the vehicle so that I can unplug it and get some extra slack on the cable to see if there is a loose connection.
