My bet is that is only for Cloth seats. Can anyone translate German?

Aside from Alcantara, all X5 seats are some form of leather.

Part number: 82 30 0 142 076
The retro kit comes with 8 cooling fans, toggle switch, power supply wiring harness, seat wiring harness, back rest wiring harness, and two micro perforations seat covers. One backrest cover and one lower seat cover. Must specify color of leather when ordering.

Note: The kit is only for LHD vehicles.

Wonder if this would fit the Comfort Seats.

For a while I've been wondering when BMW would offer ventilated seats... Mercedes offers them in quite a few of their cars, and I think Lincoln has them, at least in the Navigator. I think that would be a very, very cool thing to have.

Well in the US , it's still common in Europe to pay extra for pretty much every option we get for free here in the US. But than again on the other side the Europeans/German get to enjoy a much larger list of options for their X5s

Been away, sorry no April Fool's. Yes, this is an option down south, included in the Accessories Option Booklet 05 for South Africa. Note: leather needs to be perforated, and fans installed = mucho $$$. Not one client has asked for this apparently (but that is cause it is not mentioned at all in the catalogue when ordering). This is a retrofit too. Not sure why, cause 5 series comes with this as an option factory fitted, why not the X5. I had a SAAB 05 for a couple of weeks with seat ventilation and it keeps your cheeks pretty damn cool.

You South Africans get all kinds of great aftermarket options like the electric shock and flamethrower anti-carjacking devices they sell. There's nothing like a few jets of flames shooting out from under the driver's side rocker panel that'll scare off a would-be carjacker.

1 seat only and he also shows that it happens not to fit an x5. hmmm? could be his mistake.
