Someone talk me into changing my own trans fluid
I don't know why I'm so hesitant to do so, but I'm just not jumping into this job. The 3.0 has 101K and I think it should be done after reading the various posts, but the dealer wants way too much and so does everyone else. Those that are reasonable have never done a BMW and are less informed that I am--thanks to Xoutpost!
I've done brakes, plugs, O2 sensors, and the big one, the oil filter adapter gasket. I've done plenty of American auto trannys with no issue-is this really much worse? I think it's the "fill it while it's running" part that worries me.
Someone convince me!!
