Talking Newbie on the Forum!

Hey all!
Well I'm brand new and shiny here on this forum ! A quick introduction about myself. I used to own a 1997 E39 and had it for a couple of years, then got married and of course cash got tight so it had to go! I then moved to Saudi Arabia on a contract and purchased a 2003 Trailblazer LTZ. I've been a member on GMTNation which in my opinion is one of the best out there. Alot of friendly guys and made alot of friends! It's a enthusiast driven forum!

Anyways few weeks ago gotta offer to trade in my TB with a 2003 BMW with 120k on it 4.4 engine. Color is Pearl Beige Metallic. It's a done deal but we're trading end of April since i'm traveling alot these days and not to mention need to get my finances straight!

I been lurking around some of the different bmw forums and from the looks of it this seems to be the family / friend type which is what we're all looking for

I look forward to making new friends and no doubt learning alot from you guys! Also to share any experiences I may have!

Anyways enough talk for now here's the pix I got of the X5 that's soon gonna be in my driveway and a pic of my old E39! See you on the forums!

My Old E39

Welcome. I have both of them.
Nice E53, need driver sideview mirror cover.
Nice E39 too except for the M3-style slids on the fenders.
Are you gonna have a PPI done before the trade? The other party might try to unload their problem SAV.

Welcome! Since you are getting this car from someone else, i would recommend you do the oil change and check the brakes, brake fluids, coolant etc.. The expansion tank tend to have a hair line crack with age so keep an eye out for that. Nice X, post pic of your TB :-).. Enjoy Saudi

LOL! good eye guys! The mirror cover was changed, this was an older pic!
The M3 fenders totally agree. When I'd first purchased the E39 the guy had the complete front look like the 3 series and I worked it's way back to looking like it should be. The fenders well too much of a hassle at that time to change lol!

Yup will definetely take her in for a full check up once in my driveway that's for sure

Here are some pix of my TB --> soon to be EX

Glad to be aboard!

P.s: Having some browser problems, can't multi quote for some reason. Maybe need to switch to IE instead of Firefox

That's a nice looking TB too, but I think you will enjoy the X as much if not more.. Out of curiosity, how much is gas price there? About 3.95/gal here in the Midwest
