fog light question

hey everyone.. i got a quick question . i have a 2001 x5 4.4i and my front drivers side fog light keeps blowing out. i put a new h3 bulb and it will last me about 2-3 weeks.. any ideas??

It could be a bad socket. Are the bulbs actually blown? This is a common problem with the front turn signals so I am just speculating that this could be the problem with your fogs. This might be a good time to swap out the halogen fogs for HID. Do a search for it. I made the switch and did a write up. Search for "khoalty" and you should find my post.

yea the bulbs are blown .. im afraid if i go to hid the drivers side is gonna keep blowing also

Assuming it is the bulb socket or wiring, it won't blow out because the HID kits replace that whole thing. (Again, I don't know if this is your problem but it could be.) It's a xenon bulb with its own new socket and wiring. That could solve your problem, you'd get a nice upgrade, and it won't cost that much. I did it when my $35 xenon match bulbs blew out and I didn't feel like another expensive set of HID look bulbs.
