Angel Eyes on Halogens

Has anyone installed angel eyes on halogen headlights? Is it even possible or do you need to have the Xenon (HID) headlights?

1) not personally but I know its been done.

2) AEs have nothing to do with Xenons. Can be installed in either xenons or halogens! make sure your X5 is 2002 or earlier, or you won't be able to open the headlights!

Thanks DREX! I have a 2003 but am planning on purchasing a used pair of 00-02 headlights to experiment with. Plan to clear out the corners, remove the waffle lenses and hopefully install the angel eyes from JLEVI.

The only other consideration is the colour match, depending upon the AE kit you install. OEM angel eyes are quite yellow, LED angel eyes a bit whiter and CCFL angel eyes even whiter still.
If you have halogens and are not upgrading to Xenons then the OEM angel eyes are probably the best match.
With Xenons, the CCFLs AE's would match up best from what I've found.

I have Sylvania Silverstars (low/hi beam) and HOEN fog lights. As they are not xenons, they are whiter/brighter than your typical halogens...do you think the OEM angel eyes would match or the CCFL? Where can I get OEM angel eyes anyway?
