E90 steering wheels in '05 E53?
Hi all
So there is a seller close to me selling a nice heated sport model (with paddle shifters) steering wheel from an E90, AND I was wondering if anyone has heard of this being used on an E53? I researched it a bit here and no one mentions this option... Mor or less about swapping other E53 wheels around... Thoughts?

If the seller is close enough, I'd meet up and make a deal with him. Buying only if the wheel fit.

yeah he wrote me back saying he'd test fit it to my X5 before selling, just to make sure it worked. It'd be a dandy upgrade if it fits.
I'm reading a few reports that now say the SSG paddles are a bit close to the stalks on the steering column, so a few ppl have opted for the SMG (apparently the paddles are farther away from the stalks) OR gome with MB AMG paddles and have retro-fit them into 3 spoke wheels. My issue is I have the ugly 4 spoke wheel, so a nice 3 spoke would be great, assuming all button functions work.

damn, so I was able to find more threads here and it seems the SSG wheels from an E46 COULD fit, but will be very tight, hence why so many ppl opt for the SMG or universal paddled. I'm guessing the E90 wheel would also be very tight, IF it even did fit.
Oh well, nothing lost.
