Windshield wiper problem solved

I'd been hunting several forum sites trying to find a fix to my windshield wiper problem with no apparent success. The wipers would move about 4" and then come to a dead stop. I didn't think that the wipers were loose because they always moved the same amount of distance. I thought that it might have been electrical in nature so I tried replacing the relay, no joy. Next, I wanted to check the motor to see if it was getting 12v from the steering column, But right as I'm getting ready to put the ohm meter to the pin connector I noticed that the wiper motor bolts were loose. Then I noticed that there were metal shavings at that same loose bolt and I put 2 and 2 together and then it hit me. The motor wasn't able to make a full revolution because that bolt wasn't allowing enough clearance. So check those bolts out first before you start buying parts. IJS
Hopes this helps someone
