AlecX5,

Highly recommend Ferric Grey (lighter than Gunmetal). BMW uses Ferric Grey on some of their wheels (mainly 21"). I had my 214's painted that color.

I would paint them, love the look of your X but for me the wheels are too silver and therefore stand out too much I like the look of a vehicle where everything blends.

I reckon they look awesome the way they are, anything else would destroy the mean look you have.

+1. No need to say anything else, except that in gunmetal ,it will still look as if came like that from the factory,so you still keep the OE look.Got to do mine too ,as my OE wheels look too "white" on my car.

Anybody has any advise about what RAL color gunmetal is? My powdercoater can do all RAL colors but has never heard about gunmetal - one reason is that he is speaking German only :-)

Thank you.

Is there a gunmetal color (for BMW)? The closest may be the "Stahlgrau" or "Steel Grey" paint code 400. Here's one link of BMW colors (it has German and English names).
