Another Milestone for the Xoutposters! 225,000 Miles!! Pics inside

Well, I'm a little late posting this but I figured I would throw it up anyways. Went to Chicago a month ago to go to a concert with some friends and took the X5. I had recently done a Transmission Rebuild because the original Torque Converter finally quit on me and wouldn't lock into OD. So I decided to replace the whole thing while I was at it. Transmission shifted great the whole trip and am excited to log plenty more miles in this SAV. I currently just turned 227,000 miles and have been using it as my Daily Driver for the last year but work is only a mile away which I know is extremely hard on a car especially in Michigan's climate but I will be starting a new job in May which will be almost 60 miles roundtrip a day so the miles will start racking up. I doubt I will ever catch Wally! Alot of recent maintenance should hopefully keep the next year light on the wallet but only time will tell. (Transmission Rebuild, Oilpan Gasket, Oil Filter Housing Gasket, Coolant Temp Sensor, Fuel Filter) Now on to the pics. I cruised 75-85 the whole trip yielding 20+mpg hand calculated gotta love it. Keep the faith 3.0i Owners!

AMAZING!!! I have faith that the I6 will last a long time. It is a pretty bulletproof engine but the transmission is certainly a weak part, as you know. The things that are killing me are the little things like corroding bulb contacts, dead pixels, regulators, etc. None the less, it is still reassuring to hear my 3.0 crank up every time.

Nice to know the I6 can last. I want to keep mine for quite some time.

Lets hope it goes another 225,000! Maybe I'll be passing it on to my first unborn child by then LOL.
