Unless the snow's over a foot deep, don't worry about it. Just don't overdrive the conditions (it's always the guys in the SUVs that end up way off the road, upside down).

I've driven my 4.6is with stock 20's up to mammoth during blizzard conditions and I didn't have any problems. You just have to be careful and make sure brake early, etc. Have fun!

Technically, the CHP requires that you carry chains, though with 4 wheel drive it is unlikely you will be required to put them on. They may be worthwhile if you are going to be traveling unplowed back roads.

You should be fine. I was up there last year, got stuck in the worst storm in decades, roads closed etc. The stock setup worked just fine. Have fun.

I use those tires up here in N.E. for winter driving and they're fine. Just take it slow, be extra careful, and brake gently & early and you should be fine. Have fun!

You should be fine. I was there las week withthe first real snow of the season. My X3 was perfect. As others have said, drive carefully, brake early, and have fun!
Oh, btw... Tahoe got 2.5ft of snow last night.
