Side view mirror mount

Hey guys I need some help, someone ripped off one of my side view mirror glass with the backing. I ordered a new mirror with the plastic backing but i still seem to be missing a piece. Is there a round piece that goes between the mirror moving mechanism and the plastic backing of the mirror. I can provide some pictures if no one knows what im talking about.

Don't think so, infact I'd say that you're lucky that you can get away without having to buy a whole new mirror assembly (or one from a wreck)

has anyone had any experience with this before, i found the piece separately on ebay, but im wondering how hard this would be to install, and this piece in particular seems to be broken. Do i really have to pay 160 dollars to replace my side view mirror because of a little piece of plastic, this is fukin ridiculous.

Mate it's easy - I have pulled apart the mirror and put it back together previously. Check out my write up, it should just click on - there are 4 side clips and one main centre ball joint which must click in

thanks for the link thats actually pretty usefull, the only thing that im worried about with that item from ebay is that it seems as though 1 of the clips that connects to the motor is broken, do you think that would be a problem

If it's only 1 clip and it isn't the main "Ball joint" clip then I think it would probably be okay. Can't promise anything though
