Folding Mirror Problem Fixed

After much consternation and research to ease my dread of taken on something that may be costly at the Stealership, i took the plunge. So here we go....

First i found it much easier to get the plastic cover off by first loosening it with a butter knife around the outer middle side, use care. Then grab the bottom (see Pic below). Do so while facing back of car for better angle. Pull down and back. should pop off, then work your way around. Wallah

2nd picture from behind

When you get the cover off (picture below) there is a clip under a cover that slides Got too excitd and forgot to take that picture but thanks given to Sanj for his picture. I pinched the sides of it Very Carefully...See below.

Slide this cover forward. I may be stiff so i used the butter knife to assist a little. Again be gentle. The clip may be loose around in here, if it is then you May have your solution to your folding problem. A good sign. Same Picture as above

This is the clip from under the slide I Pinhced the sides of the clip for a tighter fit. Magic word Gentle..

This small circuit and the red button on tip is where the clip should press down on. I will be found under the slip along with the clip. The pinched clip areas go around the ends where there are two side nipples.

Another picture of the circuit

This is the pinched clip back on the circuit

I found it better to put the clip and curcuit back into the slide (Sarb). Then put the clip cover back inside mirror casing and test her out. If all works well then close her up with plastic mirror cover. Wallah for you tooo..
