Will these fit a 4.8is?

BMW X3 19" Wheels & Tires 255/40R19 and 235/45R19

Seems like a fair price but not sure if they will fit over the calipers? Looking to turn them into a winter set by replacing the tires with Blizzaks!

Thoughts?

No, for X5, the size is 255/55/19 front and rear or 255/55/19 front and 285/45/19 rear (for using wider rear rims).

As you said, they probably won't clear the brake calipers.

I have the same wheel spec (style150 from 08 E83 X3) for my 3.0i. The recommended tires for X5 can be mounted on them without any issue. You might need spacers to bring the offset to X5 spec in order to clear the calipers.
However, your tire choice will be limited. Make sure the Blizzaks are available in 255/45/19. You can have a square set-up for winter. No need to go staggered.

Curious, if you had to use hub-rings or the E83 are the same bore as the E53?

Same hub-bore 72.56mm. Only the E39 and the E70/E71 (maybe newer ones too that i don't know of) have 74.1mm hub-bore.
