Passive alarm issue

Ok so when I hit the BMW logo to lock all the doors, within 20-30 seconds all the lights start flashing and won't go off until I unlock the doors. If I leave the driver door unlocked I have no issue. Is this common? Some sort of a short or something? Sry for asking so many questions as of late, this whole german engineering thing is new to me lol.

Most likely it is a defective hood sensor. Try unplugging it and see if the problem goes away. It is located up near the firewall on the passenger's side.

That was the issue. Unplugged it and now the problem is gone.
