TowX is on a distinguished road
Chicago and the west suburbs

The only 3 shops that have ever touched any of my BMWs, Audis or Porsches:

In Glen Ellyn (DuPage Cty)-
Gearhead Auto
Gearhead European Auto Repair, Inc.
Owned by 2 former BMW and MB master mechanics. Andreas was trained at the MB factory in Stuttgart. 5 min from my home.
Indoor secure storage for all cars, across the street from the Metra UP West station.
Only people who have ever done work on my 528i and most of my X5 work. Also did my prevoius Audi work. Great guys to work with.

In Villa Park
CPT (Chicago Performance and Tuning)
welcome to chicago performance & tuning - your european performance specialists
Owner Al Uscinski is a talented guy. Supports several local car clubs with sponsorship and track support.
State of the art 4 wheel dyno and laser alignment rack, Al's the only person who's ever gotten the 4 wheel alignment on my X5 right.
Gladly works with 3rd party warranties

In Chicago, Ravenswood
VFC Engineering
VFC Engineering | Auto Repair Chicago IL | Transmission Repair 60640 | Brake Repair Chicago IL | Engine Repair 60640
Owner Doug Hillman is very talented on everything from VWs to Porsche and BMW race cars. I'd use him more but he's an hour from me
He built the custom geared transaxle for my 911 race car and welded in the roll cage.
Through his subsidiary- VFC Motorsport- maintains a lot of race cars, including the BMW E36 and E46 M3 racers of several friends.
