ANGEL EYE FITTING?>..

can you put a e46 facelift Halo eye on a E53 facelift one?>....i am thinking about modifying my halo to SMD..but they only sell SMD Halo's on e46,e39's.....wondering if anyone has done this or thought about measurement>...thanks.....

And the AE Rings are the wrong size too.

wells the inner ring/high beam is 5-1/2 inches and the outer ring/low beam is 4-3/4 inches.buy some kind of insurance or get ready to spend $2k for new set of these lights incase you f*&k them up.good luck.

holy shit....well MRBMW....how can i resolve my issue of wanting a bright halo for the car......tnx for the measurement too...will a 2002 headlight fit this car?.2006

2000-2003 headlights will not fit 04 and up..the only thing you can do is by adding real hid kit ,but some crazy mod involve.

i did try that yesterday..but the metal piece really gets HOT quick...was afraid to leave them for long time...took the old halogen piece bulb and drilled through it and use that piece to fit the tabs with HID in and it work but just to hot for me.

HID bulb in AE bulb housing will be too hot for it. It will melt the plastic.
I dont have a facelift headlight. On my E39 with OEM Hella with AE, I tried to shine a highbeam halogen bulb into the AE housing but it didn't get any brighter than the cheap LED AE bulb that I have. I wonder if the HID will make it any brighter. As mrbmwx5 said, some cary mods involved and I haven't seen it done yet.
