Nav Screen - Lines Appear on Display

I have a 2005 X5 4.4. Last week I noticed there was a line appearing on the nav display. First I thought it was a scratch but it's actually on the inside. A couple of days later another smaller one apears. Has anyone seen this? Can it be fixed? Please advice. Thanks!

Mine started doing that a few weeks ago, now its all over the place. It is possible to fix the screen. I watched the video and it's not something I would do but you could give it a shot. I'm replacing mine with the following:

BMW X5 Radio ( 2000-2007 ) - BMW E53 Navigation - 2 din 7" In Dash DVD GPS Player With Radio RDS IPOD DVB-T For BMW X5 E53 - GPS Navigation Systems

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
littlex5, search the DIY's on the forum, in the nav forum or maybe the electronics forum. There is a tried method of ordering a replacement LCD screen for your stock nav, so you don't have to replace the whole unit.

Do not replace your nav with what quizzle posted. that is cheap china junk, and made for people who don't already have factory nav installed (it will never work as good compared to OE navigation)
