Talking 2005 coming to an end--X5 Milestones

As 2006 is fast approaching, it is also the last model year of the E53 X5. Long live the E53 X5!!

Anyhow, one of the milestone of the E53 X5 is its legendary style, sporty handling for a SUV, and it's wonderful interior--unlike those of the E60, E90, etc.

I know this has been posted before, but as reminder of fellow X5 owners, one of the reasons we love driving the X5 is its beautiful interior....

Top Ten Interiors for 2005

Anyhow, Happy New Year to all!

No doubt about it. The X5 is a thing of beauty.

The X5 overall is the best sport ute on the market. I love this damn thing. I always said i would never drive an suv. Ive always has sports cars and sedans. But i drove it once and bought the next day and never regreted it. Even with all the problems ive had with the service department i would still buy another.

I was in the same situation... but I opted for the X3.

There is a 'new' spy shot of the new 06/07 X5 in this months CAR magazine and I'm surprised to say that it looks quite decent (far from the Bangled mess I was expecting). It's just a small picture of it running round the Nordschlieffe. Has anyone found this (or more pictures) on-line yet?

Best news is that it retains the 'flared hips' look of the current X5 and a rounded design rather than the square shaped X3.

Is the X5 the best?
Yes. Yes it is.

Even after so many years of its release with minor updates it still looks aggressive yet subtle. The exhaust tone is still loud, yet refined. The entire car is just a dream.

But why do I even have to say this? I'm just preaching to the choir.

OK, I couldn't find it anywhere on-line so I've taken a rather scrappy photo of the page. See for yourself..
