Removing MAF Harness

Hello,

I was trying to remove the MAF sensor to clean it. I looked at the harness and couldn't quite figure out what/where to press to unlatch it from the sensor body. Any suggestions or hints will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards, Ben

First of all, what version of the X5 do you have? I guess you miss this thread http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...re-please.html Help others to help you.
Now, if you have a I6, this should help http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho....php?p=5271791

For V8, check the attached picture.

Thans tmv. My bad, the model in question is 2003 X5 E53 4.4i. The connector is not a screw on type. It doesn't have the spring as mentioned in the E39 Bentley thread. And I don't want to make the mistakes of a simple connector issue adding a couple hours to the job.

I know how to remove the spring clip connectors. This one I cannot figure how the connector interlocks...

Another E53 with E39

Can you take a pic so we can see. I don't have a V8 so I'm not quite sure.

Hi tmv,

I found a thread for removing MAF on 540i. The connector is identical to mine. Now I know where to pinch...
