P0355 code...running rough...question

Pulled a P0355 code this morning that appears to be the #5 coil pack. Not a real big deal since they are probably original.

My question is....can I drive it to work and then replace it this afternoon. It has a loss of power but still runs...but a little rough.

Thanks

Shawn

Ok,

I changed the coil pack and now it is still running the same. I now get a p1335 code.

Any ideas.

UPDATE

So the code was not 1335 but a 1355 which is a misfire in #7 I believe. I pulled all the plugs this weekend and replaced them and still no bottom end power and rough idle. Feels like I have a MOPAR cam in the thing sitting still.

I am giving in and having towed to the indy shop to see what is up.

The number 5 plug was pretty rough and might explain the first code saying the coil was bad, but the rest of the plugs appeared to just be pretty old.

I will know more today.

Thanks for all the tips.

P0355 code...running rough...question UPDATE

Talked to the shop and #7 and #8 coil packs are bad. Good news is there is nothing really wrong...bad news it will cost me twice as much or more since i had it all torn apart this weekend and could have done it myself.

What OBDII tool would have told me this much info or is there another tool to use. Pretty sure I could have saved my self $300 or more since I already put a coil on #5. It needed new spark plugs so no worries there.

Thanks,

Shawn

That $300 would gave gone nicely for a laptop with DIS loaded on it. Best bet for BMW diagnosis and trouble shooting.
