Owner of 04 x5 4.4i with 80k, I've had white smoke appear from no where about 4 months ago, now its happening more often, its not all the time...I've noticed oil level drop and received warnings that oil level is low(I've seen this warning before in the past I would just add 1 quart of oil would be set for a while). I've been making sure oil level is back to where it needs to be. I've bought 2 replacement CC valve's from BMW parts today, planning on doing replacement today after reading the forum and comments...is there anything else you can recommend I can do or check, planning a trip to NH with our boat? I'd appreciate any suggestion, I'm bit afraid I can cause more issues to the SUV if I continue driving and possible towing this weekend..I've not noticed any change in the performance, possible some light whistling noise coming when accelerating but it could just be me, hearing stuff
