Bucking at 5mph - any fix for this

2004 - 4.4i about 80k, when I travel about 5mph or less basically during traffic, car seem to buck, like I'm not pressing the gas pedal down enough, and when the highway is like a parking lot, I don't have a choice but move very slowly...just looking for suggestions to fix this issue. Thanks allot.

Cheers,
Soner

Thanks Gurjet, I don't think so, is this something I can do, I'm some what handy and willing to do the work if its something doable?

I've put stuff in my fuel tank(sorry can't recall the fluid) to clean the system, which was recommended by a good friend, about 2 months ago.

Cheers,
Soner

Bucking as in jerking when changing gears? That would be transmission related and could be due to low fluid level or a software update is in order.
Clogged fuel filter would cause loss of power and premature pump failure. Ask how I know!! Lol!

Almost everything on the X can be done DIY if you have the tools and time.

Good luck!

Thanks allot for this feed back Gurjit and also other xoutpost Members...

I'll start with fuel filter, I don't know if the previous owner ever had it changed, so I''ll try next month and see what happens.

Well I did change the fuel filter on Friday(not a fun job), it can't hurt the car that's for sure... went on a long trip over the weekend and it still does what it used to in traffic, if I just press gas deal very softly to move in traffic I start the bucking, like as if I'm driving a manual car and not pressing the gas and releasing the clutch in time.

Could it be my fuel pump(way to tell if its going) or something else??

or

Could very well be the driver, I'm not pressing gas pedal hard enough....

Cheers,
Soner

I have exactly the same issue as described on 2005 4.4.
Changed Maf and reset adaptations. Helped a little, but still very noticeable in traffic.
It seems like there is lack of fuel due to injectors or fuel pump or it could be something else.
Has someone else experienced this?
