03 4.6 with 144,000 miles

I've been looking for a 4.6 or 4.8 X5 for a little while now, there's one near me for sale @ $12,999 with 144,000 miles. The mileage scares me a bit, should I be concerned, any advice would be appreciated.

Hmmm I can't remember the red interior, but there was a '03 4.6is for sale. Silver with those many miles. The Chain guides snapped in the motor and the selling dealer bought it from another dealer, fixed it and put it up for sale. I think it had silver with blk interior though. Just want to be sure.

But should you be concerned? Depends. You need to see what the service history of it looks like. if it has been maintained then chances are it will be pretty good. I mean some will say in those high miles, the tranny will go out, or the chain guides will be shot. But at 117, you also need to understand what you are getting yourself into and be prepared to drop some coin if need be.
