Hello all,

I can't tell you how happy I am to finally be the owner of a BMW E53 X5! I remember when my father Jeff (UCrewX5) and his friends started this site to toss modification ideas around, fix bugs, and ultimately create a social network where you truly do come for the advice and stay for the friendship. I have been a part of the X5 modification world since I was 12 with him and his fellow X5 addicts so I was thrilled when he got me my first BMW at 16(My son's 16th Birthday Present). So now after going through a 95 318is, 95 M3, 03 Jeep Liberty (don't want to talk about it ) here I am today with a beautiful 2003 X5 4.6is sitting in my driveway.

I have already scoured the forums to find the optimal settings for the DSP audio and any reason for why both my front seat heaters don't work. I can't wait to see what else I stumble onto.

It's an honor to be joining such a friendly and intelligent community of X5 enthusiasts. I look forward to posting with you all!

Adam

Its been a long history of cars since I turned 16 only six years ago! Jury is still out there on which I like better, the M3 or the X5.

Congrats on the e53! What a great looking SAV. I can't believe it took you so long to get your first post. I guess you must have been waiting on an X5 to do so.

The e36 M3 is a great drivers car. Probably one of the best bang for the buck track cars as well. However, the 4.6is is a great everyday driver with plenty of power and handling capability too. Plus additional room, safety and comfort. Both are great vehicles. I would love to know how the Liberty played into all of this as well when you have time.

Welcome aboard! Good to see you carrying on the tradition.

I remember the 2006 post on your first BMW. It was good to reread it and be reminded of all the old members.
