4.8is sparkplugs

I got new plugs for the X5 but I noticed that when I pulled the first plug, the OEMs are a single ground plug. I got NGK BKR6EQUP which is a 4 ground plug... will these work?

Really??? Hmmm... I haven't pulled from my 4.8is yet, but my 4.4 had the 4 prong. One prong suggest you setting the gap, but in the service manual, it states not to gap the plugs. Is the old P/N and new P/N the same?
Where did you order it from?

I just ordered the new ones from Amazon after looking around the forums...

Yea the OEM ones are single ground, double platinum plug that will require gapping.
I had my GF verify that this is the OEM plug at the dealership...she even sent me a picture

oem single prong came out

iridium single prong NGK went in

results = smoother, better low end response/power, mpg+

Yea, The X runs MUCH better now... noticable improvement everywhere.

The old plug color was perfect but the gap was huge... even though the plugs were double platinum, there was still a lot of erosion on the ground and electrode
