Upgrade your cracked trim with Pleather!

Hey guys - wanted to refresh the look of my door trim - they became victim to annoying cracking as most do. But my dash pieces and console are intact! Not a fan of carbon fiber and wanted a look that blended... came across textured leather like vinyl on ebay.... matches the dash perfectly and looks decent

DIY 3D Leather Texture Auto Car Interior Dashboard Trim Film Vinyl Sheet Sticker

You know the drill - wipe them down with alcohol, cut the vinyl, slice the corners around the sharp bends and grab your heat gun.

End result:

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
^Looks nice! I would place some 3M Primer 94 on the backside edges to hold the folds better, was recommended to me by a vinyl guy. Take your time on that center console, please for the love of God remove it and do it properly, too many guys try to sidestep the labor involved and trim around it. I think if you took your time it may take 2 tries but you can do the console easily.

The texture of the pleather actually hides the cracks well - are you wrapping the shift knob or getting a plain black leather/ZHP knob

I lucked out and my console and dash pieces are in great shape, no cracks. With the black texture and a little bit of woodgrain, I like the look. Still classy and doesn't come across an all plastic cheap hyundai interior.

PLEATHER!! I can't get over that name ...but in all seriousness it looks great and especially compliments your Anthracite headliner.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't know something like this was even available.

I've been dying to see more like this. Almost all the panels in mine are cracked. I may have to look into this.
