looking for vancouver or langley area service for cheap

looking for service in near langley or abbotsford, maple ridge, mission area.
called around seems the dealers all want 140-150 h/r thats insane.
ive owned jap stuff in past and always been able to get it serviced for $30-50/hr even the vw i used to have in past got done for $40/hr

most indie shops wanted $85 and a few around $100
i rember someone here or another forum saying there is a place in langley or poco chaging 40 or 45/hr can anyone let me know where?

how is js performance in abbotsford? havnt read much or anything about them.

i just dont have time to spend doing maintance on the vehicle but also dont wanna spend arm and leg getting it done.

1/2 - 2/3 of the dealer labor rate is too expensive? Sounds you need to start buying wrenches.

I can't see how you were getting work done for $30/hour, unless you were paying a dude from craigslist to work on a car in your driveway

Yup $30 was a Retired mechanic that used to come to my house with his tools. For $40 they where shops with lifts. As for wrenches I got tools but like I said not the time. You know any shops?

JCL, a frequent and very knowledgeable poster, lives in Van, was in the biz, is still in a related biz, and knows his stuff...

He may be able to direct you. Patience!

But, $40/hr real techs/mechanics don't exist in US/CDA, imo.

I'm sure that will go over well.

In my area the BMW dealer is $190 when I last checked (more than a year ago)
Most Indy's are $100-140

The oil changers speedy are as close as you get but you get what you pay for, high schoolers/guys who can barely do oil changes without screwing up 9/10 times
