Are you running two different tire brands on your X?

The last set of tires I used was Michelline, the one I have right now is Conti WDS extreme contact which I found much better in winter than Michelline. I run staggered 315/275 all year round and we have real winter here. I was going to get Conti again before the winter but when I asked for a quote the recommended Nitto Motivo. For the last two sets I got about 20000 miles for the rears.

Here is some review on the Motivo.
Tire Review - Long-Lasting Nitto Motivo Doesn't Short on Performance

Quicksilver will become famous soon enoughQuicksilver will become famous soon enough
Let's see you bought an 01 E53. Different tires may help but an E53 isn't noted for ride quality.
It's the nature of the beast. I have a 2005 and mine rides rough as well.
Get it on the highway? Oh how sweeeeet.... :thumb up:
Just make sure the tire pressure is according to BMW specs
found in the door jam.

Went with the Yokohama Avid Envigor tires. So far seem to be quiet and responsive. I'll report back once I have some foul weather experience.
