After my fixing my problem with my alternator, I now have to deal with the famous ga6hp26z transmission.

Recently I've been hearing a noise like two metals rubbing when shifting from 2-3. Also when it's on the 5th gear running ~100kph then try to downshift, you'll hear a bang underneath. My indy says what he could do is change the valve body. Another 'automatic tranny specialist' also said he could replace the valve body and check he tranny for anything else. They said it's not possible to repair the valve body!

Now, I'm hoping I could find a real transmission expert here in the UAE before the tranny finally gives up!
