how do I get a PPI if the seller is a local BMW dealer?

Today I found another X5 which I'm interested in checking out... and the seller is a local BMW dealer.

Here's the CARFAX (click here)... everything checks out unless I missed something

It's a 2003 X5 4.4 V8 with 73k miles

My only question is... how do I manage to get a PPI? I doubt the dealer will let me take it somewhere else for a second opinion; and I obviously I wouldn't trust the seller's "PPI" lol...

As long as you pay for it most dealers will let you get an outside ppi, they should have nothing to hide.

If they want to sell the SAV, they will let you take it anywhere for a PPI.

I agree. They might give you a hard time about driving it to another BMW dealer, especially if it is not close. But should let you do it.

Is it a "Certified" used car? In which case your concerns should be minimal...but seems too old for CPO.

Also, around here, most used cars have to come with at least a 30 day warranty; plenty of time to get it checked out, and if necessary, you can make them fix certain problems.
