3.0d where does this pipe go
Hi all.
Just done aux belt tensioner and found this pipe off. It was connected to something as i used it to hold the alternator out of the way. I have looked in every nook and cranny but cannot find another pipe or connector for it to go into. Thank you |

Isn't that front diff breather pipe? So the top is not connected to anything.

Thanks for your reply.
I am sure it went some where as i used it to hold the alternator out the way. Will have to get under tomorrow to see if it goes to the diff. Thank again. Dave king |

I think Clavurion has nailed it (as usual!) - diff breather hose.
On the LCI cars, the front diff breather hose pipe has a more pronounced turn at the end - like 180deg. and doesn't have the raised retention bumps on it - or the heat protection. But on the pre-LCI, it seems it's a little different, and looks rather like this errant hose. According to RealOEM, it fits into a bracket (#5) somewhere (on the block?).
