Ball Joint in Rear Wheel carrier?

Does the wheel carried need to be removed to perform this job?

No, you don't need to remove the wheel carrier to replace it, but having the right tools on hand helps a lot.

I did this job on my '03 and without my 12T press it would have been near impossible. So, yes, I think it has tom come off the car. Just my $0.02....
