Heated seat question

The front seats are heated. Driver side works perfect. Pass side when I push the button no lights come on. Seat also does not get warm. Are these 2 issues correlated to each other? Simple fix? Hard Fix? Not enough info to answer?

trial and error-

here's a guess that may work- if you can get to the actual button there is a chance that the housing bracket behind it is broken? did it stop working all of a sudden or did it have a gradual diminishing output of heat. my central locking button when depressed would not engage the locks. turns out when taking out the trim and examining the button, the bracket housing holding it in place was cracked and no longer supported it. therefore, when it was depressed it would not engage the switch housed underneath the button. It is a slim chance, but if that is it it will be an easy fix.

thanks I will look into that. It hasnt worked since I got the X. Never gave it a thought due to it being the pass seat (lol) and it being summer.

I think there is a fix here somewhere in search if it ends up being the element. Now that you are in the middle of winter in upstate NY ( ha) you are going to need it sooner rather than later. Just tell your passenger that you have no idea what they are talking about when they complain and turn up the radio. That is the easiest solution!

that'd be easy if that passenger wasn't my wife and she doesn't already know it doesn't work lol.
