removing fron't bumper on a nov 2004 e53

hi all , the diys say click Click here for a pdf document on removing 2004 and newer front
bumpers

this link doesn't open much up at all though, what i thought for so long was a metal mesh in the front bumper turns out to be brittle platsic and mine has cracked in places and have got large holes in it that may allow leaves or critters in ,wanted to remove it but cant find the diy...if anyone has any idea what i am talking about is there an easier fix than taking the whole bumper off any replacing the mesh (i guess i could patch it over with other wire mesh but will look bad)

[QUOTE=_XS3C_;902241]BMW TIS - 51 11 156 Removing and installing front bumper trim (from 10/03)

Thanks for all the feedback, will take a look, does anyone know what the purpose of the lower grills in the bumper are for as shown in the second picture in diy above? they cover holes that slope down and towards the ground....dont seem to be for ventilation purposes of the engine or rad??? And to remove the mesh trim do i need to totally remove all the parts mentioned?
