Great write up Dave, hope you are close to recouping the cost of the tool and thanks for a great service to us!

Eventually I will be needing the tool but that probably won't be for a while, it is definitely something I want to do though, as 10 year old rubber items in the Northeast don't age well no matter how low the miles are!

I rented the tool from Dave. Everything Dave said he would do he did and in a very timely manner. It is a very good quality tool. The project was painless and well worth the effort. I upgraded to the polyurethane bushing.

Did you notice a change in ride quality with the bushing change?

Yes, flatter on turns, rear follows hard turns better, more 'feel' of what the X5 is doing.

awesome service you are providing, will def be renting from you. will most likely do the poly bushings myself too. its def expensive but after thinking about how many miles i put on my car a day (about 150 miles a day ) i think it'll be worth it because i dont want to do it again and the regular bushings usually only last about 100,000 miles depending on driving style and stuff of course. bcredliner can you tell me where you purchased your polys at and how much if you dont mind?

Purchased the bushings from BMW Parts and BMW Accessories | Bavarian Autosport. Cost was $487.00.

Much easier install also because they slide in place from the bottom and top, don't have to press them in.

Does anybody know whether the poly bushings will last longer than the stock bushings? With that much of a price premium, I don't know if I'd consider installation ease as a great reason to go with them over stock.
