I've been searching for a week and can't find an answer to this, maybe you guys can help?

I have an '01 w/ NAV and no DSP.

I want to install an after market double din head unit and found the din adapter kit from Metra.

Here are the pics:

Plugs into CD Changer and/or iPod interface:

Questions:
How in the world does this harness plug into the OEM plugs?

How do you extend the antenna wire to the head unit... I'm guessing an 8' antenna extension?

This plug looks like the new BM radio plug from the trunk of your car, in the battery compartment. I am not familiar with Mitra set up and can't tell you if they want you to plug into the radio and disconnect the factory harness or if this is a "bridge" type plug, about 4"-6" long that allows you to avoid cutting into wires and splicing in by having the splices done in that tiny harness...

on the other hand, I could be totally wrong, as the radio plug is more sophisticated than Mitra plug...

do you have your own pics, not the manufacturer's? maybe we can see better in the photos of the actual harness...

For future reference for future searchers...

What I didn't find yesterday but did today was the radio module under the spare tire.

Here's a pic of the Module Wiring harness that makes sense now. Note that up to 2001 the pins are round, 2002 + pins are flat.
