No joy with IBUS problem...Need help?

Hey guys and gals (if you're out there!)

Ok... I posted this on the electronics forum but, not getting much of a response.

Some may know I started the Dynavin install and ran into some issues with loosing IBUS connection to several modules. (LCM, Adaptive Headlights, PDC, Steering wheel controls, etc..).
I recently re-wired (w/ neg battery cable off) the old DSP amp (speakers & Sub), Business CD and MID back up. Reconnected the battery and show they have power as the CD player accepts a CD and spits it out but, the MID isn't displaying any info nor is anything playing through the speakers.
Still no IBUS communication to several modules and no steering wheel control.
I have the GT1 software but, can't get it to connect? I think I need to re-install the software, plus breakdown and buy the VMware "workstation" virtual machine program for $200+?
I'm trying to get the DIS v 57, to load and get an error message everytime. I'll contact the software provider in UK and see what they suggest.

Anyone have a better solution or suggestion for "Virtual Machine" software I can use with windows XP or 7?

Thanks in advance!!

If I'm reading your post correctly, you have factory DSP and installed the Dynavin? I was under the standing that none of the aftermarket units (Dynavin/Hualingan) are compatible with the factory DSP sound system unless you do an extensive workaround.

Hey! thanks for chiming in!!
I tried the workaround and it didn't work for me? No idea what went wrong? Then tried installing a new 4 channel 1600 watt amp and that caused something to go crazy...as with volume and amp settings all the way down, the radio music would be blaring so the deaf could hear it. Only option was to shut off the HU?

Just tried undo-ing the new amp install with the hopes to have at least the old system (cd & MID) wired back in and no joy.

I like the Dynavin and want to make use of it but, need help to restore IBus connection for starters....

Wish I could help, but I'm not a stereo guru, I feel your pain. I have a 2002 4.6is non-Navi with DSP, I want to install the Dynavin or Hualingan but of course I'm put off because of all the work it takes to get around the DSP system. Keep us updated, good luck!

So, are you running DIS v57 native now (not VM)? Were you able to connect the GT1 prior and now you can't get it to connect? By connect I assume you mean to automatically recognize your vehicle and options under Diagnosis.

Usually connection problems are caused by low voltage. Recently, found my OBD2 cable had a bad solder inside the connecor so you can check that.
