FOB Key remote not working.

Hi,

i did purchase the E53 4.8 is 2006 and it came with 2 keys (diamond type). I can use both to unlock the door and drive, but the remote of both are not working for the car.

I did open both keys and tested the batteries and both shows 3.10 V, i.e, the batteries are not dead.

How can i enable te remote lock / unlock / trunk open for BOTH keys?

Best regards,

Paulo

Sounds like the remotes need to be reprogrammed to the car, or the module for the remote is not functioning properly.

Ditto.. try reinitializing your keys. Yes...keys...you will need to do both during the same session. If you do only one key...the one not present will no longer lock/unlock & arm/disarm the vehicle.

The instructions below are the same as at the link given above (but with nice illustration ). Make sure you FOLLOW the instruction to the "T"...skipping, combining, overlooking, fudging any of the steps may result in failure to program. Remember to NOT insert the 2nd key into the ignition...start its programming from STEP 3 where it says to PRESS & HOLD button 2:

TIP: KL R = ignition position 1
